    Jacksonville State: Athletic director Warren “Moose” Koegel announced today that he will retire December 31st. The University says they will announce plans to seek a replacement in the coming days. We’ll keep you posted.

    California: Cal has formed a seven-member search committee to find Sandy Barbour’s replacement as athletics director, with the goal of having three candidates by mid spring for chancellor Nicholas Dirks consider, according to the San Francisco Chronicle. Cal has also hired search firm Spencer Stuart to assist with the process. Interim AD Mike Williams originally said he would not be interested in the job, but now states he would be interested if the committee lists him as one of the top three candidates.

    Oregon State: Director of football operations Dan Van De Riet has been promoted to associate athletic director for football operations, athletic director Bob De Carolis announced today. Van De Riet was a finalist for our DFO of the Year award last year.

    New Mexico State: The school has had 48 applicants for the AD position McKinley Boston will vacate on Dec. 31. The 15-member search committee hopes to identify eight to ten candidates for interviews to begin in the middle of November.

    Cincinnati: Omar Banks has been appointed as executive senior associate athletics director for internal affairs/chief financial officer, and Karen Hatcher has been appointed executive senior associate athletics director for external affairs.

    Vanderbilt: Athletic director David Williams is back at home recovering after being hospitalized with a health issue that led to a procedure at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Williams hopes to be back in the office within the next few weeks.

    New Orleans (D-I): Assistant athletics director Brandon Rizzuto has resigned to become the general manager of the Arena Football League’s New Orleans VooDoo.

    Washington University (D-III – MO): Illinois assistant athletic director for development Chris Peacock has been named deputy director of athletics.
