Long Beach State: Athletic director Vi Cegles has announced the hiring of Rob Clark as the senior associate athletic director for external relations and communications.
Eastern Michigan: The board of regents is set to vote today on whether to extend the contract of VP and athletic director Heather Lyke an additional two years.
UCF: After stepping down from the interim AD role yesterday, head coach George O’Leary noted that he had until October 15th to decide whether he wanted to pursue the athletic director position full time.

Memphis: Athletics director Tom Bowen has signed a two-year extension through the 2018-19 academic year.
New Mexico: Eugene Canal has been announced as New Mexico’s associate director of communications.

George Washington: Ed Scott and Tanya Vogel have been announced as the new senior associate athletic directors at GW. Scott comes from Binghamton University where he served as the senior associate director of athletics & divisional diversity officer while Vogel returns to GW after a three-year stop at Northern Arizona where she was the senior associate athletics director.

IUPUI: The three finalists for the athletic director position will meet on campus this week and are Joe Manhertz (assistant AD and executive director of Iron Dukes Major Gifts at Duke), Jim Sarra (deputy director of athletics at UTSA), and Roderick Perry (deputy director of athletics at Wright State University).

Texas A&M-Commerce (D-II): Tim McMurray, the founder and CEO of Rainmakers 123 (an organization dedicated to the career advancement of those in college athletics), has been named athletic director. Past stops for McMurray in athletics include SMU, Northern Illinois, Texas State, Lamar, and most recently Maryland where he served as senior associate AD for external affairs.
