Nebraska: David Witty has been hired as Nebraska’s senior associate athletic director for marketing and communications. Witty has spent the last eight years as the vice president and general manager of Husker IMG Sports Marketing.

Abilene Christian (FCS – TX): Associate AD for operations Cory Driskill has assumed interim AD duties for Jared Mosley, who accepted a role as the president and CEO of the Texas Sports Hall of Fame.
SEC: The league has formed a five-member search committee (Arkansas chancellor Dr. David Gearhart, Alabama president Dr. Judith Bonner, Kentucky president Dr. Eli Capilouto, Mississippi State president Dr. Mark Keenum, and Missouri president Dr. R. Bowen Loftin) to find Mike Slive’s replacement. The conference hopes to have a new commissioner in place “in a timely manner to allow a transition period before Slive’s retirement on July 31, 2015.”

Jacksonville State: Athletic director Warren “Moose” Koegel announced today that he will retire December 31st. The University says they will announce plans to seek a replacement in the coming days. We’ll keep you posted.
California: Cal has formed a seven-member search committee to find Sandy Barbour’s replacement as athletics director, with the goal of having three candidates by mid spring for chancellor Nicholas Dirks consider, according to the San Francisco Chronicle. Cal has also hired search firm Spencer Stuart to assist with the process. Interim AD Mike Williams originally said he would not be interested in the job, but now states he would be interested if the committee lists him as one of the top three candidates.

Oregon State: Director of football operations Dan Van De Riet has been promoted to associate athletic director for football operations, athletic director Bob De Carolis announced today. Van De Riet was a finalist for our DFO of the Year award last year.

New Mexico State: The school has had 48 applicants for the AD position McKinley Boston will vacate on Dec. 31. The 15-member search committee hopes to identify eight to ten candidates for interviews to begin in the middle of November.
