Vandy:  As previously reported, Michael Hazel has been retained and is keeping the DFO title.  Additionally, Jemal Griffin has come with head coach James Franklin from Maryland and will serve as the program's Chief of Staff.

Notes from the AFCA:  Three of the smartest companies around (i.e. those that advertise with FootballScoop) Jump Forward, Collegiate Sports Travel and Thimbleweed Consulting made very impressive showings at the AFCA.  We can't imagine you missed them; but if so, follow up with them and see how they can make your life easier.

From an Ops perspective, there was one non-advertiser (hard to imagine, isn't it) that really impressed us with their product.  Zach Maurides with Logistical Athletic Solutions (LAS) has something special coming together.  He has spent years designing this software package, with the input of some of your favorite colleagues, and what he has come up with needs to be seen.  Trust us on this, find 5 minutes, call Zach (847.372.9889) and get the overview from him.  Then speak with the Ops guys who are already using LAS (as we did).  We're pretty sure you'll then call him back to schedule a demo.

Florida State:  Our sources tell us Georgia's DFO Josh Brooks has accepted the same position at Florida State.

Florida:  Will Muschamp is bringing George Wynn (DFO - Texas) with him to Florida.

AFCA:  The AFCA and the Football Ops committe have asked us to alert everyone that this year, the Football Ops agenda focuses more on Tuesday than in prior years.  The National Committee meeting and the General meeting are scheduled for Monday morning and there are a few breakout sessions thereafter; but there will significant additional meetings on Tuesday covering topics such as Regulation, Registration and Enforcement of Agents, Universal Recruiting Calendar, Essentials of Agent - Athlete Representation, Sports Counseling Panel and much more.

Jump Forward Social:  Just another reason to stay Tuesday.  Our friends at Jump Forward are hosting, and would like to invite everyone, to a social to be held at the end of the last breakout session of the day on Tuesday.
