New Research: Kansas Wesleyan’s Inside and Outside Sprint Out Concept – A sprint out package facilitates the offense in a number of different ways: it holds up against pressure, it’s useful in any field zone and it changes the launch point of the QB. These are just a few reasons why Kansas Wesleyan University completed their sprint-out package at a 69% rate for 527 yards and 7 touchdowns last season. In X&O Labs exclusive clinic report, Coyotes head coach Matt Drinkall details both his “outside” concept and his “inside” concept, which averaged 8.9 yards and 8.6 yards per play respectively. It will be part of his practice one install this spring. Click here to read the report.
Bayshore Christian (Tampa, FL): Bayshore Christian HS is accepting applications for assistant football coaches on both sides of the ball. Defensive coordinator is a possibility. Please send all resumes to head coach Jeremy Burnett at [email protected]
Guardian Caps: “I see that big time colleges are using Guardian Caps – are they just ignoring the liability?” – HS Coach in Ohio. No, absolutely not. They’ve cleared it through their administrators and have discovered that the liability exposure of the program is the same whether or not they’re using the caps for practice. A competing manufacturer might imply that there’s more risk, but that’s just not the case.
Eau Claire Memorial (WI): Steve Crutchley has resigned from the head coaching position after one season with the team, per source.
Danvers (MA): Head coach Shawn Theriault is stepping down to become the defensive backs coach at Framingham State (D-III – MA).
