Combining Buck Read and Power Read into a Check with Me System [X&O Labs]: As a long time Wing T disciple, Mukwonago High School (WI) head football coach Clay Iverson already had the spread buck sweep as a mainstay in his offensive play menu. But when he started marrying it up with power read and giving the QB the autonomy to check to his liking, the pairing became lethal. In an exclusive clinic report with X&O Labs, Coach Iverson details the protocol he uses, as it pertains to formation advantages–weak side run support, the alignment of the Nose and pressure indicators–to train the QB to never put the offense in a bad play. This report will be released Tuesday morning by X&O Labs.
