High School Scoop – Sunday December 4, 2016

Sunday December 4, 2016

Carver-Columbus (GA): Defensive coordinator Calvin Arnold has been promoted to head coach.

Windmere (FL): Windermere HS is looking to hire assistant coaches for our brand new high school set to open August 2017. I am looking for a combination of experienced and young coaches that are COMPETITIVE and ENERGETIC about building a high school football program from the ground up. This is an extremely competitive district in Orlando/Central Florida so I am looking for coaches that are serious about coaching student-athletes and helping them to get to the next level. I DO NOT have coordinator positions available at this time but for the right candidate, a Defensive Coordinator role could be available in the future. I am looking to have the remainder of my staff work in the building therefore I need all coaches to be able to obtain a Florida Teaching Cert. I will accept ANY subject as long as you are able to obtain the certification no later than February 2017. I may also have some non-instructional positions available but again I need all coaches on campus. If interested please send all resumes via email to [email protected].

Newington (CT): Head coach Eric Hennessy has resigned, per source.

Kenosha Indian Trail (WI): Mike McKay has resigned from the head coaching job.

Titusville (FL): Titusville HS is looking to schedule an out of state opponent for 2017, for the week of September 1st. We are a Florida 5A school and are looking for an opponent with a similar enrollment (1,300). Contact Head Coach Wayne Lawrence at [email protected].

Content manager - Doug took the reins in 2011 and the website has been better ever since. A former college player and small college coach, Doug now serves as assistant head coach / offensive coordinator at West Ottawa HS (MI).
