Merritt Island (FL): Jamie Bopp is now leading the program.

Magoffin County (KY): Former Clay County HS (KY) head coach Justin Combs has been named the new head coach of the program. Combs previously served as an assistant with the program for a season in 2014.

Rock River (WY): Brandon Barba, who had been appointed head coach earlier this month, has stepped down before the season opener.

Moorcroft (WY): Dusty Petz has stepped down from the head coaching position, citing health reasons.

Citrus (FL): Citrus HS head coach Justin Taylor has stepped down.

Stephen Decatur (MD): Stephen Decatur HS head coach Bob Knox has decided to take a leave of absence for the season. Defensive coordinator Stan Griffin will step in as the interim head coach.

Floyd County (VA): Head coach Winfred Beale has been suspended for seven days following a “rules violation”.

Carrollwood (FL): Mark Jones, a former Tampa Bay Buccaneer, will serve as the program’s interim head coach for the 2016 season.

Statesville (NC): Scott Young, the former head coach at Independence HS (Charlotte, NC) who was let go just before the season started, has joined the staff as a volunteer assistant.

Red Springs (NC): Red Springs HS has an IMMEDIATE opening for an offensive line or wide receivers coach. The teaching position will be PE and you must have taken the Fundamentals of Coaching, and Concussion courses. Must also posses or have the ability to obtain a CDL. Red Springs High is a 2A classification with a football program on a steady rise. Last year we were 8-4 and are currently 1-0 with very high expectations moving forward. Interested candidates may send a resume and list of references to coach Ron Cook at [email protected].
