Report: Ohio State could unretire some special uniforms for Wisconsin
Night games in the 'Shoe are something special. Don't believe me? Just ask the nearest Ohio State fan and they'll tell you.
With No. 23 Wisconsin coming to Ohio Stadium for a date with the fourth-ranked Buckeyes on ABC's Saturday Night Football, Ohio State could bring back some special uniforms to match the occasion.
According to a source, Ohio State will be wearing its chrome uniform, worn vs Michigan last season, this Saturday vs. Wisconsin. #Buckeyes.— Andrew Holleran (@andrewjholleran) September 25, 2013
For those who don't remember how the Buckeyes looked in their come-from-behind 26-21 win over Michigan, the "chrome" uniforms were basically an exaggerated version of their regular uniforms - larger helmet and shoulder stripes - with green Buckeye helmet stickers instead of the usual gray.
The school has neither confirmed nor denied the report, but a campus store has put the chrome jerseys back up for sale this week.
I'm a pretty big fan of Ohio State's normal uniforms, so I don't see much need for a change. What do you think?
Update: Buckeyes' graphic designer Samuel Silverman tweeted this graphic out earlier promoting the game, tagging several Ohio State staffers in the process. This is pretty much the only confirmation you need. It's happening.
