Photo: Washington will don black helmets for Oregon

After wearing its extra-shiny gold alternate helmets for Arizona and Stanford, Washington will go with a dark, gritty reboot for its impending date with Oregon on Saturday.

To the best of my knowledge, this will be the first time the Huskies will wear black helmets and the first time a Washington helmet will employ a non-traditional center stripe. You've got to assume the black helmets will be paired with the black uniforms Washington wore in its upset of Stanford last season.

Catch these helmets and whatever Oregon happens to be wearing, and a pretty good game to boot, when Washington hosts the Ducks Saturday at 4 p.m. ET on Fox Sports 1.
