Video: James Franklin recognizes 'the best AD in the country'

Back in mid November, Vanderbilt welcomed a struggling Tennessee squad to Nashville and dominated the game from beginning to end, winning 41-18 when it was all said and done.

The Commodores outgained the Vols by nearly 150 yards, and forced three turnovers while holding Tennessee to 2-15 on third down conversions, and 0-3 on fourth downs.

It was the first home victory over Tennessee in 30 years.

In order to properly recognize "the best athletic director in the country", Franklin presented his AD, David Williams, with one of the game balls from that historic win during a recent bowl presser.

Doug Samuels has been with FootballScoop since 2011. Samuels joined the FootballScoop staff after serving as a college scout as well as an assistant coach at the college level, where he was fortunate enough to have coached every offensive position by age 24. Samuels is lifelong Michigan State fan and has admittedly enjoyed the past few seasons when he has been able to look forward to quality football the entire fall, instead of anxiously awaiting college basketball after the first few weeks of the college football season.
