VIDEO: Southern Miss begins a new era

Southern Miss has perhaps the proudest history of any football program existing outside the Big Five conferences. With 560 all-time wins, 22 bowl games, a string of 18 consecutive winning seasons and five Conference USA championships, the folks in Hattiesburg certainly have a lot to celebrate.

With new head coach Todd Monken, Southern Miss is embracing its history as it moves forward in recruiting. The video below was sent to us by the folks at Southern Miss, and we're told the recruits loved it.

With last season officially behind them, you'd be hard pressed to find a program looking forward to Aug. 31 more than Southern Miss.
