Videos: The importance of small college football

Only three teams in the FBS last season accumulated over 7,000 yards of total offense (Baylor, Texas A&M, Oklahoma State). Even with the great offensive seasons that those teams had, none of them came close to putting together the type of season that Southern Oregon (NAIA) put together last season (7,704 total yards, 53 points per game).

In order to commemorate their special season, Southern Oregon has put together a documentary along with a few trailers that show the importance of small college football and the opportunities that it gives to hundreds of student athletes across the country.

The full length documentary, entitled "A Team of Firsts", is set to be released soon, but here are a few very well produced trailers that paint an excellent picture of what to expect.
