Video: Awesome feel good story of the week

Summer is the time of year when coaches flock to campuses all over the country to provide quality coaching and to network at camps.

One camp in particular, Lauren's First and Goal, does all of that, as well as raises money for cancer research. The most recent camp was ran by John Loose, the defensive coordinator at Lafayette College and raised over $10,000 toward the excellent cause.

Attendance wise, the one day camp drew about 2,000 campers (including about 300 quarterbacks and 500 receivers) and about 330 college coaches were there to share in the experience and provide some quality instruction.

Take a look at the footage from the first class camp that Loose and the rest of the Lafayette staff helped put together below, including a touching speech from Lauren herself where she quotes former NC State basketball coach Jim Valvano, and his epic 1993 ESPY speech that we all know and love.

The next Lauren's First and Goal camp will be held Saturday, June 22nd at Otterbein University (OH).

UPDATE > The June 2nd camp at Lafayette College earned over $104,000 through concessions and registration fees to go toward cancer research.  Great job by all involved!
