  • UTSA is the latest program to create a hype video for their big fellas

Though skill players account for one out of every four players on the field at a given moment, they selfishly claim nearly 80 percent of the hype video clips. This injustice simply cannot stand.

Thankfully, UTSA has stepped in to tip the scale back in the big guys’ favor. As if they needed any help.

The Roadrunners created a highlight video devoted solely to their defensive linemen, complete with glowing praise from Arizona’s Rich Rodriguez.

  • Nation’s No. 1 basketball recruit: “I don’t need to be paid anything.”

    Ben Simmons

In case you don’t keep up with hoops recruiting, LSU signed the nation’s No. 1 prospect in Ben Simmons. Take a few seconds and catch your breath.

    Everyone good?

Judging by the LSU polo and LSU background he’s sitting in front of in the picture you see below, Simmons has already reported to Baton Rouge. And in light of upcoming cost of attendance scholarships and NLI (name, image, likeness) stipends, local CBS affiliate WAFB found Simmons’ thoughts run counter to most.

That’s certainly a view that runs counter to the prevailing thought these days.

  • Photos: Tennessee has revealed their new Nike unis

As I write this, Tennessee is revealing their new Nike uniforms with an enormous amount of fanfare.

Here’s a look at the new away unis, with two pants options (Tennessee orange and the storm trooper styles).

The home uniforms have just been revealed as well.

  • Jim Harbaugh went on Colin Cowherd today… and it was incredibly awkward

    Jim Harbaugh mic

Jim Harbaugh, apparently kicking and screaming, appeared on Colin Cowherd’s show Wednesday morning, and it was by all accounts one of the worst radio interviews you will ever hear.

Cowherd’s questions could have been better, but it’s clear Harbaugh had no intention of playing ball. He didn’t leave Colin many options there, except to leave this parting shot: “If I’m an 18-year-old kid and I just heard Jim Harbaugh on this show, I’m going with Urban Meyer.”

Take a listen and decide for yourself.

The magic of Jim Harbaugh: he makes news every time he opens his mouth, and he makes news when he refuses to open his mouth.

    Update: The man has spoken.
