The concept is simple and benefits high school players within a drivable radius.
High school players who can get themselves to Birmingham for a one day camp will get exposure to 30 different coaching staff...at practically no cost ($40 administrative fee).
Samford head coach Chris Hatcher first mentioned this idea to me months ago and then we discussed it in detail back in March, just before Satellite Camps were banned. Thankfully the Board was wise enough to defer action on that one ... and voila, the Samford Mega Camp is back on.

Just a hunch; but with nearly 30 staffs already committed, I wouldn't be surprised to see this camp wind up with coaches from 40+ and perhaps even 50 colleges attend and evaluate high school athletes. Big win for high school athletes. Great idea by Hatcher and crew and look forward to hearing about more of these happening regionally around the country.
