If it takes a village to raise a child, it takes an army to get a football team on the field. And I'm not talking about coaches.
While coaches are undoubtedly important, I'm talking about the people that work in the shadows and too often go unnoticed because of it -- the equipment staff that put players in the right gear (and washes the same every night), the training staff that gets their bodies feeling right, the nutrition and cafeteria staffs that fuel them, and the janitorial crew that gives them a clean locker room to come back to every day.
As the video below does a nice job of illustrating, none of that stuff just happens. It's all done by people who are probably under acknowledged and chronically unthanked. Chances are, there's probably something your players can do to make the lives easier whose jobs exist to make your players' lives easier. And, as the video shows and most of our life experiences can show (guilty), it's also a good lesson for when marriage becomes a factor down the road.
This is a great, short and funny way to start your meetings today.
