Contract numbers for Matt Wells and some key assistants emerged tonight via David Collier.
Wells' contract is six years, $18.8 million (~$3.1 million per). Collier notes that Wells could earn up to $1 million per year in bonuses should Tech make a huge run.
The pool for this ten assistants is $3.3 million.
Should Wells want to leave, he would owe Tech 20% of his remaining guaranteed salary. Should Tech choose to fire Wells, they would owe him 70% of his remaining guaranteed salary.
Collier notes that the 70% Tech would owe Wells would be mitigated by future earnings Wells would receive from future employment.
Offensive and defensive coordinators David Yost and Keith Patterson both agreed to three year, $600,000 per year contracts.
