Dino Babers will be the new head coach at Syracuse (Top)

After wrapping up a MAC conference title last night with a win over Northern Illinois, Dino Babers will be the new head coach at Syracuse. Joe Schad broke the news earlier today, and we have confirmed the hire.

Overall, in two years at Eastern Illinois, and two seasons at Bowling Green, Babers is 37-19 as a head coach. Babers won 19 games as the head coach at Eastern Illinois, and led the BGSU program to eight wins last year, followed by 10 victories this season. In the Ohio Valley Conference at Eastern Illinois, Babers had 14 wins, and just one loss.

Earlier in the week, we noted that Dino might want to take a visit to his tailor and not plan any naps or down time for today. Hopefully he was able to make a quick stop to get tailored up. Ohio State's Chris Ash and Oregon's Scott Frost were also candidates for the position, per reports.

As always, stay tuned to The Scoop for the latest developments.
