ESPN Coaches Film Room to feature Herm, Patterson, Addazio, Mack, PJ, Norvell and more (ESPN)

For a few seasons now, the College Football Playoff has featured a special Coaches Film Room feature that coaches at all levels have come to really enjoy.

Coaches everywhere will be happy to see that feature is returning again.

From the release:

For the second consecutive year, ESPN will offer fans up to 12 presentations for its MegaCast production of the College Football Playoff Semifinals on Saturday, Dec. 29, including the return of the popular Coaches Film Room. This year’s Coaches Film Room will be available on ESPNEWS and the ESPN App from ESPN studios in Bristol, Conn., featuring a live feed as top head coaches watch the game and offer a strategic breakdown of the action in real time.

ESPN has done a solid job lining up coaches with both great insight and personalities the past few years, and this year's lineup of coaches proves to be no different.

Coaches doing the Cotton Bowl match up between Clemson and Notre Dame will be:

  • Mack Brown - UNC
  • Dave Clawson - Wake Forest
  • Paul Johnson - now former Georgia Tech head coach
  • Mike Norvell - Memphis

The Orange Bowl lineup for Alabama vs. Oklahoma will feature:

  • Steve Addazio - Boston College
  • Herm Edwards - Arizona State
  • Byan Harsin - Boise State
  • Gary Patterson - TCU

The Cotton Bowl Coaches Film Room is full of coaches that that have seen both teams, coaches, and all the coordinators in action so it will be interesting to hear their feedback on the game as it unfolds, and having guys like Edwards and Patterson break down the defensive strategies of Saban and Venables should be a real treat too.

What would make things even more interesting is if coaches / viewers were able to vote on which coaches they wanted to return to do the Film Room segment for the national title game. That could be fun.

Clear some considerable DVR space, because you're going to want some room to save and reflect on their input.
