Well the playoff bracket has been announced and we've all got some good football games to look forward to.
24 teams vying for the right to compete for the National Championship January 9th.
The left side is below.
A couple of early observations:
- Jacksonville State a very deserving #1 seed. Heck of a season for John Grass' team with their only loss at Auburn in a game they really could should have won.
- Brock Spack's guys are hungry to get that 'ship.
- NDSU a #3 seed. Let that sink in.
- McNeese State is undefeated...and is a four seed. Alrighty then. Also, McNeese State's defense is playing with attitude.
- Charleston Southern fought valiantly against Alabama yesterday. Glad the committee gave them a bye.
- Keep an eye on Ed Lamb's team at Southern Utah. They fly under the radar but they play with heart and won't be an easy out.
- Five Missouri Valley teams...and all five wind up on the same side of the bracket. C'mon man!
- Four Colonial teams made it... and they did not all get slotted on the same side. Hmm.
