Weekly uniform reveals are now A Thing among college football Twitter, and for good reason. They’re cool, easily digestible content to get everyone excited for the upcoming weekend’s game.
South Carolina usually puts out the best reveal each week. The level of detail the Gamecocks put into these is insane.

But South Carolina isn’t winning this week. No one will put more thought and effort into their uniform reveal than North Texas did for theirs.
North Texas unveils its long-awaited Mean Joe Greene statue on Saturday, and will do so wearing the uniforms the Eagles (as the program was known back then) wore when he played.
He’s the 🐐 and the only Mean Green Football player to wear the No. 75 in the last 50 years. Until this week. For one day only, the iconic Joe Greene jersey is coming out of retirement. #GMG #UniSwag pic.twitter.com/jeaqesZ5n2

For those unaware, they’re paying homage to by far the most iconic NFL soft drink advertisement of the 1970s.
On top of that, UNT will break ground on its indoor practice facility and host Louisiana Tech with a shot at its first 5-0 start since 1959. It’s amazing how far that program has come in a short amount of time.
Oh, and one more thing: That’s a pretty sharp throwback. Here’s hoping that look doesn’t get mothballed.
