Kevin Sumlin explains how he's preparing the Aggies despite reports of his impending dismissal

Last night, a report from the Houston Chronicle stated that Kevin Sumlin would be coaching his last game leading the Aggies against LSU on Saturday. The report stated that Sumlin would be let go in the "day or days" following the game, and that even a win over the Tigers would not be enough to save his job.

Today, Sumlin addressed that report by saying that him and athletic director Scott Woodward haven't even talked since last Saturday's game and no discussions have taken place about his future job security, and that these types of rumors of his job security in College Station are something that they've been dealing with since the spring.

"I haven't talked to Scott since (last) Saturday at the game. There haven't been discussions about that," Sumlin said, via AL.com. "It's not like we haven't dealt with this since the spring."

Sumlin went on to note that since the report surfaced after practice, and they haven't practiced again yet, he hasn't had a chance to address the report with the team, but notes that they'll continue to prepare as "business as usual."

He also went on to share that the report swirling around gives him a unique opportunity to teach his guys about real-life lessons.

"It's not just about football, you try to teach lessons. Dealing with adversity, that's what life is about. For our players, this is another learning experience. How they respond and how they react is one thing, how you perform is another. That is part of the learning experience that you try to teach young adults. That's how we handle this."
