SB Nation has a great way of communicating information in maps that immediately grabs your attention.

Their latest masterpiece lays out which college football programs recruited each of America’s 50 states the best now that signing day classes are wrapped up. If you study it close enough, you’ll notice a few surprises. Read their full take here.

For one, Butler CC (JC – KS) won a state – Delaware, and the only time you see Alabama on this map is on the east coast because they signed Connecticut’s top prospect. You’ll also notice that Oregon, Penn State, Iowa, Oklahoma, Ohio State, Nebraska are the progrmas that locked up more than one state. And if you’re wondering who locked up Alaska – that’s Montana State.

Before anyone gets all fired up, SB Nation has a full run down of the rules they used, and you should really read their full take here.
