Saturday's news cycle began with multiple reports stating Kevin Anderson would be out as Maryland's AD, with the university coming back and stating Anderson was still employed in his same position.
Forty eight hours later, Anderson is out. For now.
Anderson released a statement Monday announcing he will take a 6-month "professional development sabbatical" that will allow him to work with a number of groups and coalitions while remaining on his NACDA and NCAA committees.
