Why so much attention on coaches changing jobs after Signing Day? FootballScoop Radio explains (recruiting)

There was a lot of attention on coaches moving jobs immediately after National Signing Day. A lot. Some even called it recruiting's great moral dilemma. But did you know the number of coaches that changed jobs in the days surrounding National Signing Day was actually down from 2014?

As Scott explained on FootballScoop Radio on Sunday, the number of coaches changing jobs in the days surrounding National Signing Day was less than the number of coaches leaving jobs on the first Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of February in 2014.

So, what's the genesis for all this attention? The fact that many of these changes essentially played out on national television. Think five-star defensive end CeCe Jefferson, four-star linebacker Roquan Smith and four-star running back Mike Weber. That the changes involved schools like Ohio State, Notre Dame, Florida, Texas and UCLA drew an extra spotlight that - for one reason or another - occurs every single year.
