Every coach worth his salt in recruiting knows the details behind what the football program, athletic department, and school are able to offer.

Unfortunately, for recruits that are being hotly pursued by a number of different programs – regardless of whether it’s the major college level or the small college level – that can mean hearing what seems like the same message over and over again.

“We’ve got one of the best [insert name of academic program here] in the state (or country),” one coach might say.

“Here, you’ll have access to the best facilities in college football,” is a pitch I’m sure more than a few FBS program use.

The list goes on and on.

So when the nation’s top prospect, 6-5, 235 pound defensive end Kayvon Thibodeaux from Los Angeles, CA tweeted the following, it had coaches and recruits both talking.

Keep this in mind the next time you want to say what your school can offer is among the best around.
