Nick Saban gets asked all kinds of silly questions, but on a Skype interview with EWTN recently, Saban was asked about something he's very passionate about - his Catholic faith - and how his faith impacts his approach as one of the most successful coaches college football has ever witnessed.
"I don't think there's any question about the fact that character, moral development are all a part of leadership, and getting people to do the thing that you want them to do."
"I look at it as, we always say, 'God have mercy,' but that mercy is not a well. It's not a cistern. It's a channel that should run through us to other people. That's part of what we try to do for our players, so they have a chance to be more successful in life."
Saban goes on to talk about a number of other things in the interview, including the new Catholic student center that he and his wife have donated to that will share his name. Hear more from Saban in the interview below with EWTN.
