Paul Rhoads has been dismissed at Iowa State (Top)

Paul Rhoads' days as head coach of the Cyclones are over, per source. Sources tell FootballScoop that Rhoads is telling his team now and we expect the university to confirm the news later this afternoon.

Rhoads' seven years at Iowa State included some extremely memorable wins; but over the past few seasons those wins have become fewer and fewer with only 8 total wins over the past three seasons. Rhoads final record in Ames will stand as 32-54.

Update> Brett McMurphy from ESPN adds that even though Rhoads "has been fired" he will coach the team's final game at West Virginia.

USA Today's Steve Berkowitz relays that Rhoads will receive a buyout of $4.6 million based on terms of his contract.
