Perhaps I'm splitting hairs here, but red, white and blue colors on a helmet seem more like an overarching patriotic theme than more narrow military appreciation garb... but either way Veteran's Day is approaching and this is what Purdue will wear to mark the occasion with the lids you see above for Wisconsin on Saturday.
Purdue has gotten very adventurous with its helmets this year, going yellow for cancer and using a college of photos to fill out its "P" logo on Social Media Day back in September.
The best Purdue helmet will always be these black alternates with train tracks as the stripe.
