Do me a favor. Go to your local elementary school and take a look around.
Wait, nevermind. Just scratch all that, and let’s start over.
Purdue and Wake Forest announced Monday they have agreed to a home-and-home in 2026 and 2027 (2026 in West Lafayette, 2027 in Winston-Salem – book your flights today!). The freshmen and sophomores are currently in first and second grade. Some of the recruits who flock to Ross-Ade Stadium and BB&T Field to attend the games are in pre-school.
No one knows why two teams that went 3-9 this fall felt the need to lock in a home-and-home more than a decade from now, but Twitter was glad they did.
Purdue and Wake Forest schedule a home-and-home series for 2026-27. Why not shoot for next century?

Trying to imagine what the world will be like when Purdue and Wake Forest finally clash in 2026. Flying cars, certainly.

FINALLY America will get the Purdue-Wake Forest football games we deserve.

I’m just glad Purdue and Wake Forest are going to get that 2027 game in before my 40th birthday.

Purdue and Wake Forest have met five times previously, most recently in 2003. The nation waits with bated breath for games six and seven.
