Today, we sadly lost one of the most iconic announcers in the history of college football in Keith Jackson. Jackson was 89.
Today, stories and fond memories of Jackson flooded social media from those who covered college football, to coaches, and even casual fans. Jackson had a way of covering the moment without intruding, or overshadowing it – and there are no shortage of examples of that from his body of work.
Few announcers leave a mark and become the fabric of college football like Jackson did, so I felt it was a good idea to take a look back at some of his most iconic moments from throughout his career.
Here’s a one-minute clip of Jackson’s best work from college football’s biggest moments.
Here are a few more fond memories that others have shared.
