Update:AAF co-founder Bill Polian has released the following statement, confirming the suspension of all league activity.
According to a report from the guys at Pro Football Talk, we appear to have the beginning of an answer on the future of the AAF. The tweets states that "AAF football operations will be suspended in the next few hours," and "League us not folding, yet. But it's heading that way. Last night, we shared that a decision on the future of the first-year league could come as soon as today, and it looks like that's about to come to fruition and the future is grim. That news came from the Dallas billionaire who invested $70 million to save the league from near death a few weeks back. Nothing official yet, but this certainly isn't the news many had hoped for the league that brought Steve Spurrier, Mike Singletary, Mike Martz, Rick Neuheisel, and so many other coaching personalities back to the sideline. With the XFL looking to make a comeback in 2020 with guys like Bob Stoops coming back to take part in it, this is a pretty major decision that could have far-reaching implications.
