We’ve heard the chatter but have not verified; but there’s this:

Newy Scruggs with NBC Sports in Dallas is reporting the offer has been extended and could be announced as early as tomorrow.

We can confirm the meeting took place. Bruce Feldman tweets the meeting “went very well”.

In doing our diligence earlier in the week we were told if offered Mike was likely to accept.

We mentioned Mike for the job back on November 14…glad the administration finally got around to figuring out the same.

As always, we’ll keep you posted as news breaks on The Scoop.

Friday Morning Update: While we haven’t verified that an offer has been made to Leach, the public support behind Leach as a candidate to lead the Vols is swelling. With public support so strong, is this this deal that finally gets done?
