Georgia State offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach Travis Trickett will join Neal Brown’s staff at West Virginia, sources told FootballScoop on Monday. The Smoking Musket was the first to report the news.

Trickett will fill out Brown’s inaugural WVU staff. He will coach inside receivers and tight ends, according to sources.

The son of longtime Florida State offensive line coach Rick Trickett, Travis Trickett holds previous coordinator experience at Florida Atlantic and Samford in addition to Georgia State.

Trickett attended West Virginia as an undergraduate, where he spent his college years as a student assistant on Rich Rodriguez’s staff working with quarterback Pat White. He was a graduate assistant on Nick Saban’s inaugural Alabama staff and worked at Florida State under Bobby Bowden and Jimbo Fisher.
