Sources in the profession tell FootballScoop Willie Taggart is expected to be offered the head coaching position at Florida State.

The news comes in connection with Jimbo Fisher accepting the same position at Texas A&M.

Oregon made an offer last weekend to Taggart in hopes of retaining their first year head coach. It remains to be seen whether Oregon will up their offer as Florida State’s offer rolls in; or if Taggart will even give them the opportunity to do so.

Should Taggart turn down the offer, Florida State has other options.
