Former Texas Tech (and Louisiana Lafayette) head strength coach Rusty Whitt is set to join Mark Hudspeth’s staff at Austin Peay, sources told FootballScoop on Friday.

Whitt will be Hudspeth’s head strength coach sources tell FootballScoop.

Whitt served as Hud’s head strength coach at ULL from 2010-15 before accepting the same role for Kliff Kingsbury at Texas Tech where he served until earlier this month. Whitt has also served on staffs at Rice, Sam Houston State, Louisville, William & Mary and Texas.

The man does good work in the weight room; and is also well known for some – events on the field!
