This evening, sources informed FootballScoop that Tim Lester will be named the new head coach at Western Michigan.
Lester is a Bronco alum, who played back in the late 90's and was a four-year starter for the program. The past two seasons, Lester has served as the quarterbacks coach at Purdue, and quarterbacks and offensive coordinator at Purdue from 2013-2015 at Syracuse.
Prior to Syracuse, Lester served as the head coach at Elmhurst College (D-III - IL form 2008-2012, posting an overall record of 33-19 in the CCIW, a very competitive small college conference. In 2004 he landed his first head coaching job at St. Joseph's College (IN). His past stops as an assistant include; North Central (D-III - IL), Western Michigan, and Elmhurst.
Lester's hire will mark the 19th head coaching job being filled this off season, with one job (Cal), yet to officially name their new leader. Keep track of NFL, and all college head coaching changes here.
