The Tennessee head coaching search is centering on Purdue's Jeff Brohm, sources told FootballScoop Wednesday.
He was mentioned as a candidate in FootballScoop's first look at the Tennessee job back on Nov. 14.
Brohm recently completed his first regular season at Purdue, taking the Boilers to their first bowl game since 2012. His buyout at Purdue stands at $5.9 million as of today, but it moves down next week and gets complicated from there.
Prior to that, Brohm compiled a 30-10 mark in three seasons at Western Kentucky. He led the Hilltoppers to Conference USA championships in 2014 and '15.
At Tennessee, Brohm would over a program storied in history and a desire to win, but is fresh off the first 0-8 SEC campaign in school history.
