Stephen F. Austin head coach Clint Conque suspended indefinitely (clint conque)

On Monday night, Stephen F. Austin announced that head coach Clint Conque has been suspended indefinitely. The announcement:

"Stephen F. Austin State University has suspended head football coach Clint Conque pending an investigation into alleged violations of university policy. The investigation is expected to take several weeks. No comments will be made by the university until the investigation is complete."

The CBS affiliate in Tyler, Texas, reported that the team has not been informed of the reason for Conque's suspension.

Conque, 56, has been SFA's head coach for the past four seasons. He is 21-25 in Nacogdoches, including a 4-7 mark in 2017. Prior to SFA, Conque went 105-59 as the head coach at Central Arkansas from 2000-13, guiding the Bears from Division II to FCS. He has five playoff appearances and three conference titles in 18 seasons as a head coach.
