The 2018 signing class is in the books, and it was a good one for Texas. After finishing 25th in the 247Sports Composite rankings in Tom Herman’s transition class, the Longhorns rocketed up the rankings to No. 3 in 2018.

The 27-man haul included two 4-star quarterbacks, the top running back in Texas, three of the top five wide receivers in the state, the top defensive tackle in the state, the top three cornerbacks in Texas, three of the top six safeties in the nation and the No. 4-ranked kicker in the country.

Naturally, Texas is excited about it. So excited, in fact, that the Longhorns commissioned their own custom rap song to celebrate the 2018 signing class.

It doesn’t seem Herman and his staff are concerned about the de-recruitment process; otherwise, name-checking your true freshmen in their own rap seems like a step in the wrong direction on that front.
