Texas Tech has released their renderings for their new Sports Performance Center in the form of this video tour. When it’s all said and done, the new addition will be impressive.

For the football program, the crown jewel will be the indoor practice facility, which should be a huge addition for Kingsbury and his staff to sell on the recruiting trail for incoming players. A retractable door will be placed between the indoor facility and the indoor track to allow some privacy for both teams.

In addition to the Sports Performance Center, the university will also be adding 45 outdoor suites to the North endzone.

Back in November, Tech announced that they were within $4 million of their fundraising goal of $48 million to fund the entire project. That gap has surely closed considerably over the past several month, and construction should begin in the Spring.
