Washington and Washington State play Friday night in Pullman. It’s the 111th edition of the Apple Cup and quite possibly the biggest — Washington comes in ranked 16th in the AP poll and Wazzu comes in at No. 7, with the winner advancing to the Pac-12 Championship. Washington wants to keep its 5-game winning streak alive, while Washington State hopes to backdoor its way into the College Football Playoff.
With the game approaching, Washington head coach Chris Petersen was asked about his recent interactions with his counterpart Mike Leach. Petersen replied that there haven’t been much and, in fact, the last time he saw him was at a Pac-12 coaches meeting where Leach showed up late and brought two uninvited guests — in an In-N-Out burger and milkshake.

Leach was asked about the incident on Monday and confirmed it in the most Leach-ian of ways.
Earlier today UW head coach Chris Petersen told the story about Mike Leach showing up to a Pac-12 coaches' meeting 30 minutes late with In-N-Out burger. So of course I had to ask Leach about it today during his weekly presser. Enjoy! pic.twitter.com/LWuH7OCzks

For those not versed on 1980s pop culture, here’s the movie scene Leach references.
It’s too bad Larry Scott didn’t confiscate Leach’s burger and distribute pieces of it to David Shaw, Mario Cristobal and Herm Edwards. Then we’d really have a story on our hands.
