Urban Meyer called out Tom Herman today. I’m sure you’ve heard about it.
“C’mon man,” Meyer said. “I don’t know where that came from. It’s like a new generation of excuse. [Herman] said, ‘I can’t rub pixie dust on this thing.’ He got a dose of reality. Maryland just scored 51 points on you.”
Herman was asked about Urban’s comments after practice on Thursday and said essentially nothing.

Herman’s wife Michelle was not asked about Urban’s comments but responded anyway.

The subtext to all this is recruiting. Ohio State has become the chief exporter of Texas talent; a problem for which Herman now blames himself. The Buckeyes signed three of the top seven players in the state in 2017. Texas has commitments from five of the top seven Texans in the 2018 class, and Texas and Ohio State are the leading candidates to sign the state’s No. 1 player, defensive back Anthony Cook.
All’s fair in love and recruiting. Even when it means trashing your former assistant to the press.
