David Beaty, Kliff Kingsbury, Matt Campbell, and Mike Gundy sat down and shared some of their funniest recruiting stories with the Big 12 Digital Network recently.
The best one comes from coach Beaty, who leads the clip off by sharing a story about having a shrimp dinner at a recruit's house with an assistant who is allergic to shellfish. They wanted the kid to be a Jayhawk bad, so the assistant never said a word, and proceeded to eat every piece of shrimp on his plate. Beaty says at the end of the night he had to rush him to the hospital because his throat was starting to swell shut.
