In the first round of Louisiana high school playoff action, Dunham HS (LA) needed to pull off an epic 46-yard Hail Mary miracle to beat Menard HS (LA).
Menard rushed 3 guys, sending 8 guys back to defend the pass in the end zone, and somehow a Dunham player comes down with the rock. Eight on five and Dunham finds a way to win it.
Come to find out, that player was receiver Joshua Matthews, and it was his first touch of the entire game.
"I saw the ball go up. They tipped it up in the air, and I took it off one of the defensive player's hands." Matthews told The Town Talk.
You feel things get really quiet right before Matthews come out of the madness in the end zone with the ball, and then everyone just goes nuts.
