Northwestern is an outlier in the Big Ten. They're one of a few forced to compete for space on the local sports page with the pro teams in their neighborhood, and the only private school in a league consisting otherwise almost entirely of flagship state schools.
But Pat Fitzgerald's Wildcats have something no one else in their league does.
