Wichita State: Wichita State University is currently accepting applications for the Spring of 2018 Internship. This is an unpaid position but can be used for school credit and can earn hours towards CSCCa SCCC certification. Those accepted will receive Division 1 experience with a number of different sports and have the ability to earn professional references and possible future career recommendations. Responsibilities include cleaning and maintenance of the facilities, aiding in training of athletes, set up and breakdown for lifts, spotting, participating in continuing education sessions, etc.   Qualifications include a strong desire and passion for the profession, punctuality, and attention to detail. All applicants should currently hold or be working towards a Bachelor’s degree in related field and a CSCS or SCCC certification. Must be CPR/AED certified. Morningside (NAIA – IA): Morningside College Strength and Conditioning Department is accepting applicants for a PAID internship position working with all programs for the 2018 Winter/Spring semester. This position will start January 3rd and complete at the end of the school year May 11th 2018. Internship responsibilities will differ and include various duties with in the Morningside College Strength and Conditioning department. Hours vary during the semester and will include early mornings, late afternoons, and some weekend hours throughout. Interns will gain valuable, hands on experience in areas such as program design, speed and agility techniques, conditioning, facility and athlete supervision. Requirements: Applicants must hold a BA/BS in Kinesiology or exercise science related field. Possess or be working toward CSCS through the NSCA or the SCCC through the CSCCa. CPR, First Aid and AED certification required. Applicants must possess strong communication skills and have the ability to effectively work with student athletes, coaches, and support staff. Compensation: $2,500 stipend for the 2018 Winter/Spring Semester. Completion of this internship can fulfill potential credit hours toward a program degree and future recommendation in the field of strength and conditioning. Yale: The Yale Football Sports Performance Staff is seeking qualified and hardworking individuals with a strong passion for College Football and Sport Performance, to fill Spring 2018 internship positions with the Yale Football Team and in the Varsity Weight-Room. These positions are unpaid, but provide valuable experience, and will begin around the second week of January 2018. Preferred candidates should be working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in or related to the field of Exercise Science. An CSCCa- SCCC, NSCA-CSCS, or USAW Certification is preferred but not required.
