Buffalo: The University at Buffalo (MAC) Football Strength and Conditioning Department is looking for 3-5 volunteer interns for the 2019 Winter/Spring Off-Season. All positions will be UNPAID. The successful candidates will assist with all daily duties as it pertains to Buffalo Football Strength and Conditioning including but not limited to: assisting with coaching, data tracking, data entry, fueling station management and any other duties as assigned by the Director of Strength and Conditioning. The expected start date will tentatively be January 21 2019, and go until the end of the Spring Semester (first week of May). South Dakota State (FCS): South Dakota State University, is accepting applications for qualified, highly motivated Graduate Assistants in Strength and Conditioning. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to; assisting in design and implementation of strength & conditioning programs for assigned sports; provide proper instruction for safe and effective lifting techniques and equipment usage; supervise weight room day-to-day activities and conduct periodic performance & strength testing; communicate regularly with sport coaches and sports medicine personnel. Qualifications: Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in sports sciences or related field/major, CPR certification and be certified through the Collegiate Strength & Conditioning Coaches Association (SCCC) or National Strength & Conditioning Association (CSCS). In order to be awarded the position the candidate must be admitted to graduate school at South Dakota StateUniversity. Compensation includes tuition waiver and stipend. Previous strength coaching experience preferred. Previous athletic experience preferred. Experience teaching the Olympic lifts preferred. Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and Access strongly recommended. Consideration will be given to individuals who possess strong interpersonal, leadership and communication skills with integrity. The position will begin May 20, 2019.
