Pitt: The University of Pittsburgh’s Strength and Conditioning Department is currently accepting applications for volunteer interns for the summer 2018 semester. Daily responsibilities include: assisting with the set up and break down of weight room and fields for conditioning workouts; facility management; assist with supervision and demonstration during the training sessions. Applicants must be highly self motivated, able to follow directions, desire to learn, and have a strong work ethic. The Successful applicants should be working towards earning their Bachelor’s degree and a certification from the NSCA-CSCS, CSCCA, USAW and/or have experience as a collegiate athlete. Interns must be CPR/AED certified. This is an unpaid position, however, volunteers will receive experience working at a Division I program, better understanding of program design, have the potential to earn recommendations for future career opportunities, receive college credit if applicable as well as 2.0 CEU’s through the NSCA (CSCS).
